Canon PowerShot A620

Canon PowerShot A620

The PowerShot A620 is about the same size and weight as its predecessor, A610 (11.5 ounces equipped with 4 A4 batteries and the SD card). It has a nice handgrip for everyone, while the LCD measures 2 inches. It has the four-way controller, a display button to cycle between the 3 LCD options, a Menu button and a Print/Share button.

In the center of the four-way controller there is the Function button, which changes the settings like resolution, ISO, effects and flash intensity.

The camera has full manual exposure controls and a high quality video mode. The camera includes manual white balance, sepia and black and white effects, meeting options and settings for natural and vivid colors.

The Flexizone option allows you to manually move the focus point. Another nice feature is Safety Shift which operates in aperture-priority or shutter mode and selects the proper aperture and shutter mode, respectively.

The standard modes include Portrait and Landscape, while the special modes include Kids And Pets, Fireworks, Foliage, Beach, Snow and Underwater. The camera provides very good images, sharply focused and with good detail.

The 7-megapixel camera, with its 4x optical zoom which spans from 35mm to 140mm, a long enough list of modes, a moderately sized camera, recommends Canon PowerShot A620 for a wide range of users.
